A Web CompassThis is the web compass that we'll use to navigate you through your web ventures and onto your web success. There are four cardinal points which make up the compass. (WS) Websites, (SN) Social Networks, (SE) Search Engine Optimization, and (BL) Blogging are the cardinal points which will lead your web ventures to ultimate success.
Websites (WS)The first and most pertinent cardinal point that we'll be journeying to is "websites", that is plural and for a specific reason. It is not only important to have an excellent umbrella website for your venture, but also child websites to focus on specific aspects of your venture. For example, if you are selling fishing tackle, you'll want an e-commerce website which encompasses the whole of your company and products, and a child website which encompasses reviews, your blogs, more thorough information about each product, and possibly some history behind the products. A very common mistake of beginning web developers is to recommend multiple sites with the same content. This is terribly wrong and can lead to a bad reputation with search engines. You want each website to be unique, robust, and specific to targeting audiences. Not everyone may be interested in buying your tackle, but some may be interested in reading information about your tackle. Additionally, we'll be seeking out other relevant websites to help network, advertise, and promote your new venture.Social Networks (SN)The second cardinal point in our journey is "social networks". Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, YouTube, Blogger, Wordpress, LiveJournal - if you don't have any and all of these social networks associated with your website in today’s web market, you are falling behind. These networks not only connect you with your existing clients, but they open you up to a whole new world of potential clients, affiliates, and professional contacts. Those listed social networks are only our main stops during our journey to cardinal point "social networks", there are dozens more!Search Engine Optimization (SE)The next cardinal point in our journey is "search engine optimization". Every good website(s) has to have professional search engine optimization behind it. The details on this part of our journey must be kept a secret for now. What we’ll tell you is that our search engine optimization will yield excellent results and will put your name(s) up there with the keywords that matter.Blogging (BL)The final cardinal point on the web compass is "blogging". You've probably heard the word before, but haven't really delved into it yourself.
